Outcome of Entreprenurship Cell
(AY:2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24)

  1. There are 12 students start-up/entrepreneurship during the assessment period.
  2. ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCES Positioned in the Band of 151-300 in the Innovation Category for the year 2023 certified by National Institutional Ranking Framework.
  3. B. Akash Kumar, D. Ashish, K. Bhargavi, M. Harshavardhan, K Lalitbsagar from Computer Science Engineeirng Studnets won the first prize Rs 1,00,000 in Smart India Hackathon -2022 for the problem statement “Municipal Finances and Tax Management System”
  1. The students of Civil Engineering, ANITS won the First Prize in Hardware Edition of the National level contest " Smart India Hackathon 2023(SIH23) organized by Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs and AICTE in nationwide to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving. National Grand finale was held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu from December 19th to 23nd 2023.
  2. ECE Students, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences has secured First position in 24 hours hardware hackathon - A National Level 24 Hour Hackathon, hosted by NSRIT held from 05-01-2024 to 06-01-2024.
  3. Civil engineering Students, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences has secured First position in AVISHKAAR 2024 - A National Level 48 Hour Hackathon, hosted by Aditya Institute of Technology and Management, held from 27-02-2024 to 29-02-2024.
  4. ANITS secured 4-star rating under IIC ranking in the year 2021-2022 academic year and 3.5 start rating in 2022-23 based on innovation and entrepreneurship activities organized in the institutions. The IIC performance for the year 2023-24 results yet to be announced by Minictry of Eduction Innovation Cell (MIC).
  5. Dr. V. Lenin, Assistant Prof., MECH and Dr. G. Prasanna, Assistant Professor, ECE project idea "IoT Enabled smart solar vegetable dehydrator with sensible heat storage material" has been approved by A-Hub under IGNITION GRANT and Rs 7 Lakhs funding support approved for Developing Business model.
  6. ANITS received funding support of Rs.2.25 lac from MIC for mentor-mentee scheme for mentoring 5 newly joined IIC institutions under mentor-mentee scheme for the AY:2023-24.
  7. ANITS incubation centre is recognized by MSME and Dr. V. Rajyalakshmi, Head, Academics, received grant Rs.12.5 lakhs for the project FAMILY FARMER -APP FOR ORGANIC FARMING” from MSME under Idea Hackathon 2.0 scheme in the year 2023.
  8. Ms. Sujatha Mandala, received grant Rs 15 lakhs for the project “Empowering woman through eco-friendly jute fashion products and crafts” from MSME under Idea Hackathon 3.0 scheme in the year 2024.
  9. Two teams “e-Curio” & “Achievers-2022” from Mechanical Engineering, ANITS were selected for the National grand finale of SIH22. The team "e- Curio" bagged the first prize in Autodesk Smart Manufacturing category of Hardware edition. The team won a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/-.

  •    ABOUT IIC   

    Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at ANITS is a unique model to promote innovation and incubation of ideas among student and faculty fraternity. IIC helps to build the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the institute and it would be a platform to bring the budding technical ideas of young upcoming engineering graduates into reality. IIC is conducting various activities like interactive sessions of renowned entrepreneurs with students, being a facilitator in filing patents of novel ideas of the institute fraternity. In the future, the center is striving hard to be a center of excellence for startups.

    • ANITS has established Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC), which continuously endeavour to provide ecosystem or simulating environment where the ideas are nurtured and incubated. It organizes seminars for the students, to promote their innovative ideas for project development, getting Patents, resulting in entrepreneurial ventures.
    • ANITS established incubation centre in the campus with 24×7 facility and providing mentorship for students and Faculty start-ups. ANITS formulated innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) policy for students and faculty.
    • ANITS conducting internal hackathon “Innovex” for motivating student participation in Smart India Hackathon conducted by Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC).
    • ANITS Conducting Idea Hackathon every year based on MSME problem statements and recommending best idesa for funding support from MSME.
    • Institution’s Innovation Counicl of ANITS organizing IIC Calender activity, Self-Driven Activity, and Celebration activity as per IIC calender given by Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) to promote innovation and entrepreneurship akills among the students.
